IKMF Expert level 4 Tamir Gilad will run though concepts, drills and techniques to make sure sure everyone gets something from this event.

06/01/2012: Hi All. Can I start by saying I hope you had a peaceful and restful Christmas break.
Thought I would give you a quick heads up on whats in store for the next few weeks. If, like me, you have over indulged during the holidays then you know we have a lot to catch up with in order to regain previous fitness levels. With regard to fitness/cardio - I have that covered in my own unique and colourful way... so dont come to class with a full stomach.
With regard to techniques, we will be focussing on making them as technical [ and therefore efficient and effective ] as we can but I would also like to intigrate them a lot more into scenarios and pressure testing with multiple attackers, something I moved away from a little recently in order to get the technical quality required for gradings. [ the results for which I think are there to be seen by all with KMScotland walking away with an almost 100% pass record AGAIN - proving that quality of training makes all the difference...] - well done to all participants and the maximum effort which was given to Tamir's requests.
The kadet class moves into the 'next batch' in the new term and I fully expect to have two after school classes to deal with before long.The greatest of respect and praise again goes to Alex O'neil [ kadet coordinator] whos help has been invaluable and if honest the whole kadet situation is because of her efforts. The next step is to start their syllabus work and then begin gradings. I will be starting another 'kadet klan' at another venue soon, the paperwork and recomendations are being readied for the next school so watch this space...
A great deal of time and effort is being put into research to bring a new style of training into krav maga. exciting, dynamic, informative and FUN - I promise you an adventure if I can manage to tie it all together. check back soon for sitrep...
Instructor training will begin soon and this is vital to all clubs. Expect the tempo to be raised a little in your own club once a month or so...
Finally it would appear that Robert Bennet [ IKMF Director - Scotland] is filling up the diary for us all too, with a host of events and camps taking place at various locations and times throughout the year. Final details are still being worked on but stay in touch and hopefully we'll see you there.

22/11/2011: A "P" patch for XMAS
This is to confirm the date,time and venue of the seminar and grading. The venue is confirmed at The Police Training College in Tulliallan. The seminar will commence in the morning at 10 a.m. until 1p.m. The grading will start at 2p.m. and will end at approx 4p.m. Please note they're will be no catering facilities so you should bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids. Also there are no outdoors shoes allowed on the training mats so please bring a change of footwear. ( clean training type shoes ARE acceptable). The costs are as follows- £30 per event or £50 if both events booked. P1 candidates also have an additional one off purchase of an official IKMF grading passport which cost £10. This is to record all gradings and seminars and is recognised internationally as proof of your grading status.
Payments to be made to your instructor via cash / cheque or directly to the SKMS account ASAP and certainly no later than the 16th DEC. A receipt will be issued on confirmation of payment and this must be presented on the day.

16/09/2011: KRAV KADETS - exclusive to KM Scotland
Starting soon in Perth, KM Scotland will host the first class ever specifically for 11-18 year olds.
[ more classes at other locations to follow - please call if you would like to help set one up in your area]
Featuring specialised training using scenarios and games as well no nonsense techniques against a multitude of attacks, it is the aim of this class to 'better arm' students for the some of the dangers they may face today.
We will focus on stranger danger, anti bullying, awareness and avoidance, escape to safety as well as covering attacks with weapons, multiple attackers and even keeping others away from trouble too.
Especially for female students some of the content used in our S.A.F.E. [ sexual attack fast escape ] seminars will be incorporated also - an absolute must nowadays.
There will be a six week course initially giving an over view of what krav maga is with weekly classes thereafter.
If you want to increase the chances of your child's saftey - enroll now, spaces are limited and applications will be dealt with on a first come first served basis.
Please contact me for an enrollment form containing more specific details which will be e mailed back to you, this must then be printed off, filled in and brought to first class.
Price for the six week course is £7.50 per class or £40 if paid in advance.
Classes are 90 minutes duration, loose comfortable clothing and plenty of water are required, Male students are strongly advised to bring groin protection [available at first class price £10]
Any medical issues must be disclosed.
All instructors carry current enhanced disclosure.
